As of yet, no complete register exists of the marks of Swiss potters and pottery companies.<\/p>\r\n

The Verzeichnis Schweizer Keramiksignaturen<\/a> provides the most up-to-date overview.<\/p>\r\n

The Swiss Ceramics Association swissceramics<\/a> provides a list of its current members<\/a>. Certain members appear also in the section portrait<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n

The image database CERAMICA CH also includes potters\u2019 marks. The best way to find the relevant parallels is by using the filters for the ware (earthenware, porcelain …), limiting the hits by adding the country of origin or an estimated date range and then viewing each of the resulting entries. You can also run a full-text query for \u201cMarke\u201d or \u201cHerstellermarke<\/a>\u201d or use the \u201cpottery mark”<\/a> filter to search for certain types of marks (stamped, painted, raised relief \u2026). Information about the types of mark<\/a> can be found in the glossary. Once you have filtered the full-text query using the \u201cpottery mark”<\/a> filter, the filter panel \u201ccountry of manufacture\u201d will show all the countries represented, which will allow you to further narrow down your search. Alternatively you can check the filter panel \u201cplace of manufacture\u201d to see the locations listed so far.<\/p>\r\n
