Data entry of the Thun Castle Foundation collection was completed today. CERAMICA CH<\/a> now contains a total of 3082 ceramic objects from the collection.<\/p>\n

Of these, 1050 are so-called Thun majolica<\/a> objects, including 131 veduta plates or dishes<\/a>. This is the largest collection in Switzerland of this type of pottery which has so far not undergone any detailed scientific analysis.<\/p>\n

Other parts of the collection bear witness to the late phase of the Wanzenried Manufactory under Emil Lengacher (1912-1914)<\/a> and the work of its most important painter, Friedrich Ernst Frank (1862-1920)<\/a>; they also include objects dating from the first half of the 20th<\/sup> century (Desa<\/a>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
