Decoration with low-temperature colours

Painted decoration applied to finished, glost-fired faience or porcelain glaze using metal oxide colours (suspended it an oily medium) and then fired for a third time at low temperatures (650°C-850°C) in a muffle kiln. Such overglaze painted decoration is usually found on more elaborately decorated faience, porcelain and refined white earthenware vessels.
