Data entry of the Thun Castle Foundation collection was completed today. CERAMICA CH now contains a total of 3082 ceramic objects from the collection.
Of these, 1050 are so-called Thun majolica objects, including 131 veduta plates or dishes. This is the largest collection in Switzerland of this type of pottery which has so far not undergone any detailed scientific analysis.
Other parts of the collection bear witness to the late phase of the Wanzenried Manufactory under Emil Lengacher (1912-1914) and the work of its most important painter, Friedrich Ernst Frank (1862-1920); they also include objects dating from the first half of the 20th century (Desa).
