Oil-painted decoration in CERAMICA CH

Andreas Heege, 2023

Like any other type of material, pottery, once fired, can be decorated with various kinds of paint. Using oil paints or oil/resin-based varnish is probably the most durable option. The coloured patterns can be painted either directly onto the biscuit or onto the glazed vessel. Oil-painted decorations are found both on earthenware and faience and on porcelain.
