n the late 19th and throughout the 20th century, Embrach in the Canton of Zurich had two significant pottery manufacturers: the Zangger pottery factory and art pottery and the company Landert-Keramik (as well as the Ganz stove factory). Neither of the firms have yet been the subject of a comprehensive historical study (so far only Stromer 1999, 162-163), and museum collections rarely contain objects from Embrach.
